Justi nstalled battlefield 2 deluxe edition and downloaded patch 1.4 which seemed to be the latest patch. Only 2-3 servers are showing up but when I untick 'Same version only', hundreds pop up but it tells me I have a newer version?
which Battlefield 2 patches do I need?

If your on Vista set it to always run as admin.

download pbsetup and run...there has been some major problems with punkbuster lately since summer 2008 ...lots of people have been complaining of it...i wrote a guide to get things running if you keep getting kicked for the infamous "punkbuster b handshaking failure"...it took me hrs of research..let me know if you have any trouble after pbupdate.....also if you are getting trouble after you have used pbupdate...download pbsvc and run that...this actually installs punkbuster a and b and k on your pc...if you are still getting trouble let me know.......actually im gonna go play bf2 later...it is still the best online game first person shooter..i been playing since 2005 and i still have not achieved top rank and all badges etc.....they should have made left for dead like this....

Yep best thing to do is too install battlefield 2, then any expansion packs you have like special forces, then install patch 1.41 then update punk buster. and your good to go.

I never updated Punkbuster in a few years of playing, just installed the latest patch (1.41 now) but they broke sniping now
There apparently working on 1.50, lets hope they fix Sniping.
