Going around in circles here :P

Want a basic blog program that we can use with joomla.

Our needs are basic, ability for admins to post only, guest comments with that ecatcha thingy, ability to "like from facebook, twitter etc", archive function...

Free as in price would be nice, but if we must pay for it then, well we will have too :D

You can use Joomla to set up a blog. Just create a new category called blog, create a menu link that links to the blog category and you're done. Obviously you might need some styling etc.

For the catcha and facebook just download the respective plugins and tell them only to work on the 'blog' category.

Yes I see what your saying but it's going to be a lot of work for me to adjust settings for articles only in the BLOG.

It might be easier for me to buy joomla blog software which will allow me to only adjust blog articles....

But it's easy to adjust settings to work in specific categories or menu items?

I'll have found is global settings so far. Are you saying I can set the settings up for individual categories? If so, where can I find these settings?

EDIT: Found it in the menu system, I can set different parameters for different categories.

Yay for joomla!
