Im after a new GPS reciever which will work well with my Dell Axim x51 PDA and my Nokia N95. Im running tomtom v6, I currently have a Globalsat SIRF StarIII card but want to swap it in so i can get tomtom running on both my pda and my mobile.

I have seen a few on that well known auction site but which one do you reccomend?

I want to spend as little as possible but want it to work :)

Thanks

Just out of curiosity, how are these bluetooth gps recievers powered?

Was just thinking this, as if im using my pda/mobile in the car using the cigerette lighter, surely im going to need 2? one for the pda and one power source for the gps reciever?

I bought a new GPS reciever from ebay years ago ,a Holox . has a rechargable battery , charged by a miniUSB lead .For car use , you can buy a triple car cigarette lighter plug 'thingy' , so you can charge 3 things at once .I have just bought a second hand GPS reciever that is solar powered , still has the rechargable battery but is helped by solar power when on the dashboard .It works very , very well with my phones ,Nokia 770 etc but I was suprised to find it does'nt have the SurfStarIII chip .It has another type useing 30% less power .It's called a SolarGPS , model BT2.5MR , made by F-Tech .Do a search , lots of info about them .So, if your worried about the unit going flat , you may be interested in a partly Solar powered one .

I use a Qstarz receiver with an MTK chipset. Really reliable, its acquisition time is very fast, battery life said to be about 32 hours!.
