Which BluRay DVD Player?

I was thinking about buying myself a nice BluRay player, but I've got absolutely no experience with BluRay and was just wondering if anyone here could let me know what the brands are that are highly recommended! And if money wasn't an issue which is the best of the best?

Wow thanks for all the replies! I was considering getting the PS3 as others mentioned, but I also am not a big Console Gamer, but it would be a plus over getting a normal bluray player!

can also be made region free for dvd's which is a bonus

Oooh, you bring up a good point there which I hadn't considered before hand, with my current DVD player it's multi-region and it's soo useful, is there only specific BluRay players that are Multi-Regional and also do all BR players play normal DVD's aswell and DVD-R/RW's ? One again I'm sure these are beginner questions but as mentioned I have no experience with BR at all, so thank you in advance!

I'd rather not mess around modding it myself, but it's good to know what's available! I'll just weigh up my options and make a decision, thanks for all the help OcUK'ers!
