Which board

It depends how much of a hurry you are in. Abit & DFI have the most promising looking 680 boards in the works & both should be available in less than a month.

ECS do a board that is identical to the EVGA but £20-£30 less. If you can wait, Abit and ASUS are launching 'cheaper' boards in January. I don't know about the DFI, but the fact that they are really taking their time about releasing something indicates to me that when they do launch they will be doing so with a product that upholds their enthusiast reputation.

Yep, you always know the Lanparty will be last to market and its not without good reason. ;)

I am swinging towards the EVGA too. I was holding out for an ASUS board but I am being put off by:

:( Poor availability
:( Poor Striker Extreme review from [H]
 Reports that their heatpipes are empty (which explains...)
:( Reports of excess heat / poor overclocks

At least the EVGA has a more designed chipset fan. The clip-on fan ASUS are supplying really does look like an afterthought.

Finally the lifetime warranty with free Cross Shipping just about swings it for the EVGA.
