Which bookshelf speakers for Marantz amp?

Must be less than £120incl. for a pair second hand.

I'd prefer front porting for when/if I mount on the wall. They would be used near field on a computer and my music preference is post rock/classical/rock. So spec me up.

P.s. is the amp OK? I bought it for £60+postage (asked for a quote on a non RM service) I thought worst case scenario is it is better than a CA A1/A5 which sell for similar price but this looks better.

Difficult to say if the amps ok - all you said is that its Marantz.

However, I can't see many problems with Marantz amps (got one myself

)

As for speakers I have some Missions which work very well (M3i series) which may well be in the price range second hand.

Sorry. Was in the title but it looked messy and deleted with out adding to main body. It's a Marantz PM7000.

eBay is not really flooded with either of them. I have a pair of B2's on my watch list already that I was eyeing up. Along with some Wharfedale PI-30, which is quite simply audio pr0n tbh. Wish having a computer desk in the middle of the room didn't look stupid.

I think a better spec me thread is, can you list any front ported speakers that you know are good? Please?

Just bought a pair of B&W 601 S3 on eBay for £99.

Really didn't expect to get these as they usually go for £150 which is too far out my budget.

I am very excited to hear this system in action, especially as I have never heard a decent hifi.
