Which Brand???

Guys I confess I have always had nvidia gfx cards and with the latest ATI offerings I think I will be trying them out
But with Nvidia I have either gone for XFX for overclocked cards or Asus Cards.

But with ATI cards obviously there is brands I have never heard of so who do you recommend in terms of quality and value for money (no sacrifice of performance)

Also I have noticed that these cards come with 7.1 surround sound ?? how does this work then as I have already got a xfi card so which is better ? and will there be any conflicts with them both

tbh the cards are all pretty much the same as they are all reference spec. Just choose the one with the best bundle or warranty for the money. I think that the sound is only carried when using hdmi to a monitor with built in speakers. So its good if connecting to a hdtv but you should have no problems using your x-fi when connecting to separate speakers

As above, but id just get the cheapest, gainward £170.

For the 4850 get the Powercolor or HIS & if after a 4870 get the Gainward.
Thats the way id go.
