Which cable to use?

I am about to purchase a new gaming laptop with high end CPU and GPU.
The laptop has 2.0b HDMI port and 3.2 gen 2 type c ports.
As far as I understand, in order to have the best monitor performance I should use the type-c port for monitor instead of the hdmi 2.0.

Should I use Type-C to HDMI or Type-C to Displayport cable for my 27 inch 2k 144hz monitor that supports G-Sync?

usb C to Display Port.
Or hdmi 2.0 to hdmi 2.0 if your monitor supports it and g sync still works. I don't think you will run into bandwidth limitations at that resolution.
Using USB c to hdmi 2.0 will still have the same limitations as Using hdmi 2.0 so is not really adding anything aside from probably being more expensive than a hdmi case.

Type-C to Displayport, Gsync should still work this way if I remember correctly.
