Which camera for product images - £200 budget

Looking to get a new camera for taking product images

I sell spare parts for phones - pictures taken in a light box like this one

Budget around £200 ex. VAT

Any recommendations?

Any semi decent compact camera can yield you a decent shot, since you've already got a lightbox, just need a camera that you can do manual control, or at least set the white balance, ISO e.t.c.

So I'd simply suggest any Canon, Fuji, Nikon or big names compact that fit your budget, with perhaps some extra bits so you can use the camera beyond product shots only?

A good macro function would also help when you need to take images of small details.

Yeah, any half decent compact/bridge camera should do. Just make sure you can alter the white balance, and either use manual exposure or at the very least use exposure compensation.

Thanks - any specific recommendations? There's far too much choice out there, don't know where to start looking

What about something like a Panasonic DMC-TZ7?

The TZ-6 is well recommended around here IF you do not need to do videos, otherwise, TZ7

Got the TZ7 which arrived today, seems like a nice camera

What sort of settings should I be using on the macro setting when shooting in a light box?
