Hey folks!

I know a DSLR is better than both, but thats not the question, I have the Canon IXUS 960 IS which is basically a small digital camera (12mp)
Titanium body with Touch Control Dial
12.1 Megapixels
3.7x optical zoom with optical Image Stabilizer
ISO 1600 and Auto ISO Shift
DIGIC III with Face Detection AF/AE/FE
Red-Eye Correction
2.5" PureColor LCD
18 shooting modes and My Colors
XGA and Long Play VGA movies

But I was going to buy this as a replacement;

Fuji Finepix S2000HD

Is it comparing the wrong sort of cameras, with one being a bridge? I know it is clearly not all about megapixels etc, I just wondered if the Fuji would be a LOT better in terms of picture quality just for the casual snapper...The Canon has a good picture to be fair...

So for you experts, is the Fuji miles apart in terms of quality?

Thanks for your time :)

u said it, cannot compare really as 2 different classes. I use a canon DSLR, with an L lens and cannot fault the picture quality.....i would stick with the camera you have, unless you are going to do some serious photography...

I see what you mean...

So in terms of 'point and shoot' and better low light shots (indoor etc) there won't be much difference between the two? The 960 has a delay when taking pictures, thats what I didnt like... Sometimes 3-4 seconds.

I bought the Fuji S2000HD and the quality is pretty poor considering... In fact, my Canon IXUS 960 takes better pictures...

I've experimented with a few settings, but on auto in good conditions you'd expect a better pic, but the pics just look, washed out, watery...

I get 7 days to evaluate so I think it's going back, im going back to Canon's!
