Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a new small compact camera to replace my old Canon300D.

The only one I've seen in the shops that I like is the Panasonic Lumix TZ20 and the reviews for the new Nikon Coolpix S9100 looks good but which camera would you choose.

Are there any other cameras that I should consider?

Panasonic TZ20:
16x optical zoom
24-384mm lens
built-in GPS geo-tagging
3D Photo Mode
3" touchscreen LCD 460k dot

Nikon S9100:
12.1m pixels
18x optical zoom
25-450mm lens
Backside illuminated CMOS sensor
3" display 921k dot

Maybe so but I need something smaller for holidays, work and days out as the SLR + lenses is too much to carry or a pain in the backside when out on the bike, at the beach or on a night out.

+ the 300D has a problem with the sub mirror for the auto focus not flipping out of the way during a shot so it only takes 1/4 of the image.
