I've been using my 20D for many years - still very happy with it. However, I'm tempted by SLR video. Don't want to spend a lot, so what are my options?

Probably thinking 2nd hand, the 550D, 600D, 60D, 7D or 5D MkII? The 7D seems like the most logical replacement for my 20D, but it's not cheap! That leaves the two xxxD series. Technically they are much better than my old 20D, however, the ergonomic and build quality are definitely a step backwards!

What are the main downsides of the 550D?

Had a play with a 600D and 60D in the shop yesterday. Wow, the 60D is far nicer the use! The ergonomics blow the 600D out of the water. Whilst the 600D is technically better than my old 20D, it feels like a huge step backwards in build quality and ease of use. The 2nd dial on the back and LED screen is far to useful too compromise on.

So - the hunt is on for a cheap 60D!

It's £498 at ******* but the 60D doesn't have continuous focus. The 650D does so you may want to consider that.
