Which capacity iPad 4?

Well if you're going on a plane it's hardly anymore clunk than the hand luggage and suitcase your already taking, and the base model will have enough storage to get you through any flight, with this as a backup.
Besides which any flight longer than two movies will have their own media in the seat anyway.

This debate about Apple and it's lack of SD card slot and the boycott against it is as old as the iPhone when it came out in 2007. There were the most noise made back then with the lack of SD card slots and they haven't caved in and after 6 generations of iPhones and 4 generations of iPads I really can't see that changing any time soon.
You are right in that people don't care, the people that do, are geek at heart which is the minority. Joe Blogs do not know how much flash memory costs in general.
Apple have basically market a product at a certain price and take it or leave it. It is no different than pricing their wireless keyboard at £60, you can get another wireless keyboard for £20 and it does the same thing.

I have to be the last person in UK who just doesn't "get" ipad. And I say that as a person surrounded by Apple hardware at home and at work.
I have ipad, from work, which I use as a "angry bird gaming machine" on the bog, and that's about all it's good for.
The 16 bit like singularity of interface, was always a deal breaker for me. I can just about forgive phones for doing only one thing at the time, because the screen size and all, single app mode almost suits it, but on ipad, the fact I can watch something or browse something, but not both at the same time, cannot even have a small video window on top of another window refreshing in the background - that's just a device trying to waste my time. It's 21st century, how did we manage to go full circle and get back to Windows 3.11 again?
I hate the slowness of ipad browsers. Including chrome. And that lag you get when scrolling through page full of long posts. No gesture for page down, page up, back and forward by default? Are you kidding me? What the frequently asked questions is this? Ninenties?
I can't believe there isn't a single proper, thunderbird like mail client for it, I shake out of irritation every time I try to press page 127 on this forum and it "misclicks" me onto someone's personal profile instead. And constant "random forum page clicked via google search has an app you can use instead of the browser, would you like to install it now" makes me scream out of anger.
It's a hydraulic fracturing joke that I have to type password several times a day to update everything, especially now, that icloud passwords have to be five lines in length, involve capital letters, unprintable characters, numbers and few kanji glyphs. I didn't think it would matter, but it does. For the love of god, anything would be better, pin, gesture, draw-shape-on-screen like screen unlock, ANYTHING!
It infuriates me that I can't simply load a movie from card or browse network shares to play anything back and can barely access anything at all unless I'm willing to convert stuff and spend longer loading it via itunes, than watching it.
It's caca for multimedia, it's poop for anything that normally involves multitasking. It's pretty poor as a browsing device. It's really good for playing angry birds on the toilet. But then again, so is any old phone, netbook or laptop at fraction of the cost.

lol yeah it must look pretty stupid, turns out having done my expenses I'm due about £400 extra this month.
Having discussed it with the Mrs We only got one iPad because she would rather have some Ug? Boots.
It will be paid off in a couple of months
