Which car? Quite a few to choose from.....

Don't write off the LCR; you can get tidy ones for way less than 10k and if you're looking for the 'thrill' of driving again nothing will do that better than some boost up the rear :) They look much more aggressive than the S3 of the same era too.
Even with a remap and a few bits n bobs I reckon you'll see a chunk of change from 10k.

Completely different platform, and different engine. It's basically a totally different car, the only similarities being it says Audi and S3 on it :)

Bloke at my place of work had an old S3 for a few years, test drove the new one a couple of times but didn't buy it - apparently it didn't feel much different to the old one, if anything he said it felt slower. It's got a bit more power but it's heavier too...

He went for the new RS4 in the end.

So he started off wanting a £26k hatchback but decided that, as he didnt like it, he would instead buy a £50k saloon with an enormous waiting list?

Hmm....

dont give up the SP2 mate, couldnt imagine life without my SP1 Silver Anniversary

If you need more joy from biking, maybe go back to an inline 4.

Cant tell me a GSXR1000 wouldnt thrill you.

It's not the bike. I love the SP-2. It is the best bike I have ever owned IMO. It looks great and I like the little details like the HRC cast into the engine casing and the Ally GP style swing arm. It's not a speed thing either, I had a Busa before the SP-2 :D I have been thinking about stopping riding since just before I got the Busa. The SP-2 was kind of a last desperate attempt to get myself back into bikes properly. I just cant relax when out riding these days and don't find it fun on the roads anymore. As you know you cant enjoy a ride if you aren't relaxed and it's just not happening anymore. If I got another bike at any point I think it will be a track bike, but the SP-2 is far far far to nice to turn into a track bike!

I had a test drive in an Integra Type R this morning. I am a little undecided as to how I feel about this car though. It was only a small test drive, about half hour but I managed to do nice bumpy 30 limits and a few NSL ones too.

My first impression of sitting in the Integra was what a nice driving position. The one I drove had Recaro seats in it which hugged me really well. The gearbox felt great and I loved the nice short throw of the stick to achieve the next gear. The feel through the steering wheel was also to my liking as it was rather heavy like the 306gti6 I have. Down the bumpy roads its far quieter inside than my pug. There were no rattles and the suspension felt far superior to that on my car. It didn't judder every bump we hit anyway.

As for the power delivery. Well this is where I come a little unstuck. I can tell to get this car to feel right and drive well you have to be driving it in the last 2500rpm of the rev range. I was impressed how it went though being its only a 2.0litre N/A engine. What was odd was it felt like there was less torque in 6th gear than there is in my Pug in 6th. This may be due to gearing though. My pug is 145ft/lb and the Integra is 155ft/lb I think. Obviously the engine spins up quicker in the Integra but unless using the Vtec zone it felt like there was little difference between my car and it. I did find myself pondering is this really worth the £10k it will cost?

I'm not sure. I think I am a bit lost as to whether I am wanting another car that begs to be ragged everywhere. I think the test drive in the BMW will soon enough inform me which route I want to go, either street racer or more refined cruising.

Oh I forgot to say I thought the brakes on the Integra weren't particularly good either. My Tarox Sport discs and Tarox fast road pads on my Pug work much better IMO. The discs on the Integra looked really small though? It had massive red brembo calipers so guess they were the right ones?

Well I don't know his exact thought process but he liked his old S3, just wanted a new car I guess. Tested the new S3 like I said but wasn't overly impressed. Bought the RS4 instead. He's actually in possession of it so I guess the waiting list isn't as bad as you think?

Just browsing online and found this

330ci_Coupe_Sport.jpg

I love the colour of this BMW. It is Estoril (think i spelt that right) blue. This doesn't appear to be a common colour for the 300ci. It is apparently a clubsport coupe, not that I fully know what that means. It's a little pricy but I think it looks stunning.

I'm off BMW hunting tomorrow though after checking out my local official BMW dealers there is only one 330ci sport in Salisbury, though this is an automatic :(

Can anyone recommend anywhere worth looking at in Hampshire. I live in Southampton so the nearer the better obviously.

Passanger door looks a different colour in that light, also the panel gaps don't look right on it either. If looking at that car I would give it a very good look over could just be the photo. It also doesn't look like the photo has been taken infront of a car garage.

Yeah, it's a clubsport.

Extended front splitters, funky rear spoiler, 20kg of sound deadening removed, Silver cubed trim, BMW Individual paint (in this case the tasty Estoril Blue) and clubsport kickplates. Think that's about it. Commanded a huge (£5k+ iirc) premium over the 330i originally, but seem to go for around the same price now - I guess after everyone realised that BMW were having a laugh with the original price :p

So that refinement you were buying a 330Ci for, they tore out? :p
The front splitters look alright on my Rover but they just look wrong on that.
