Thanks for reading

Im looking to get a new card for a media centre next week thats going to be coupled to a 52" TV, now i need to get a card, would a 4870 or a 260 be enough to run for example GRID or UT3 at 1920x1080 with at least 2-4x AA.??

Thanks in advance for any advice.
BTW please dont say 4870X2, allready running over budget :) lol

this is at stock on gpu and gpu. settings at ultra, 4x AA at 1920x1080

For me i would get a 4870 competes well with a gtx280 and 8xaa at the resolution you want to run. In one review it beat the gtx280 in 3 out of 4 games with 8xaa at your resolution.. Pretty much leaves the gtx260 in its dust at these settings.
