Doing what exactly?
If you're after CUDA acceleration for the Mercury Playback Engine then grab a GTX 460 2GB version (Palit or Gainward) and you're flying. You will need to do the supported card hack (http://www.indiev.org/?p=308) though.
If you're after OpenGL acceleration then pretty much any card from the past year with 1GB RAM will be fine.
Alternatively, you could do things properly and get a Quadro, but you didn't give an indication of budget
