Which card for WOW (mainly).

Get the windforce if the case as good airflow, if not and you have room for a 3 slot card the Gainward GeForce GTX 760 Phantom 2048MB looks good.
The removable fans for cleaning is a nice touch.

Yes, I saw that. Looks like an intersting cooling design.

I'm going for a Bitfenix Merc Alpha (without additional fans), so I'll consider the Gainward card.

Would the Gigabyte card pose a heat issue in a Merc Alpha ? The thing that attracts me to Gigabyte is the UK RMA (I required it a few times with my GTX460).

We finally decided to go for a 7950 for £200 or less.

After looking for the best deal, I`ve decided on.......

My 7950 Windforce is nice and quiet (unless provoked). Looking at reviews of the GTX760, it seems to be at least equal to the 7950 in many games. And being Nvidia, I'm sure WoW will like it.

Wise choice ?

Good choice, it's a nice card, comes with a couple of games and in WoW will slightly best a 7970 GHz edition.

A GTX760 it is.

I take it that along with a Haswell i5 @ 3.1Ghz, a decent 500w PSU would be fine, but a 600w wouldn't be a bad idea.

Running my i5 2500k at 4.5Ghz with overclocked 7950 and I still can't max out WOW at 60 FPS+ at all times, it bogs down below 30 FPS during 25 man raids when everyone is nuking a boss/adds.

I think a GTX 760 will run it fairly well though.
