Hi Guys

A friend of mine gave me his old desktop computer and I'm a bit of a computer noob. I'm thinking of upgrading the graphics card, it currently has a Geforce GTX 660. It has two monitors, both of which are currently running at 1920x1080 . The power supply is 500W, I'm not sure of the actual specs unless I open the case, will this need to be upgraded with a new graphics card? I have about £300 to spend, can go a bit more should I need to replace the PSU. I'm not bothered about brands, just the best one for my money. Any advise would be awesome.

Its an Acer Predator G3620
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 16 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
500W power supply

If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks.

If you stick to 500W powersupply, then one of the overclocked 280X will be OK.

The cards above it, need a whole 500W PSU on their own. :D

I opened case, its a FSP Group INC 80 plus bronze.

model No FSP500-70EP

I can afford to buy a new power supply with the graphics card if required, and you have any recommendations of which one to buy?

Does that affect the budget?

EDIT: Actually, at your price range you probably won't need more than a decent 500w, particularly as your CPU isn't overclocked (right?)
