Hey.

Currently building a new build

2500k
8gb ram
Asus p8p67 board
Antec 750w high current PSU
define R3 case
24" Acer 1080p LED monitor

My budget for the card will be about £350.

I've been looking at 7950's and GTX670's.

May dabble in multimonitor setup a good 6 months down the line.

What's the best for £350?? Help!!

The 670 out performs the 7950. It's more on a par with the 7970. I would choose between those two. Check out reviews and other's experience, etc.

2GB on the 670 is enough VRAM for now and on multi monitor set ups, but down the road, who knows what is behind the corner?

If you plan on buying to keep for a while then the 7970/50 is your best best, as the VRAM will help more with future proofing.

This card is a tenner over your budget but is a 7970 and not 7950...Worth a look at I think :)

I would go for the 7950 if you intend overclocking, and the 670 if not, because at stock the 670 is significantly faster. Overclocked, the 7950 can match and exceed the 670's performance, and also has the additional vram which may help if you upgrade to a multi monitor setup like you say you might.

I'm in exactly the same boat and I think I'm going to go for a 7950 as with the extra vram it would be more future proof (i know theres a bit debate on other threads about this!) but I can see myself getting a second 7950 in a year or so where the extra vram would put my mind at ease over a second gtx670
