I notice that OCUK have finally got the zotac eco card in stock and on special offer

But they also have the asus GTS 250 on special as well

This leads me to two questions

Which card will give me better crunching for seti?

If I go down the GTS250 route, can I power this card using a 4 pin molex connector by buying an adapter - I only have 1 spare molex connector, so if the card needs two, then I my choice is made and I will have to go for the zotac..

On a seperate note

Mr Indigo_Prime, watch your back Sir, Im due to come past you sometime in the next seven days, even sooner if I get this card :D

GTS250 will be better for crunching. (avg 4.5-5K ppd)
Zotac eco will be better for your leccy bill (avg 3.5-4K ppd)

Depends on the work unit you get really.

Do you want a one slot or two slot card? That could be important.
Neither card vent the hot air from the case so that could be an issue for you.

Zotac needs no external power, GTS250 needs one 4 pin (adpter probably in the box)

Looking at the Asus picture, I think that it will fit as space is tight against the CPU cooler, but as long as it is open with a big fan, and not a closed unit I will be OK..
The leccy bill will be paid for by work as Im putting it into my dell desktop
Dell PSU's are very underated, I have one at home (305W) that has been running my BFG OC2 8800GT, 2 HDD's, 2 DVD burners dual P4 830D's and boinc cuda with no problems..
lokks like a 250 getting ordered today

I thought the possibility of you using a card that needed extra power was already ruled out by the previous thread you made on this topic. The PCI-E power adapters I have seen require two molex connectors.

You are right, that is why I had to sell the 8800GTX
If it is two, then the answer is no as I have one molex if I disconnect the dvd drive, if the card needs two 4 pin molex then I will have to cancel the order and go for the zotac eco.
If a GTS250 will run off one 4 pin molex to pci-e converter than I can buy one and get the extra crunching credit. :p
Can someone confirm if biffa is right for me please?
