which card to get

hi got about 250-300 pounds to spend on a graphics card which card would you recommend. I have been looking at this one but are there a lot better cards for my budget.

i5 3570k I will be overclocking yes when I have everything set up just need to buy water cooler and gpu. will be gaming at 1080p

In that case, I'd snap up the card you mentioned. I'd hurry, since the price seems to fluctuate very regularly. I have the same cooler on my 480, and it's excellent. Plus, with Gigabyte, you'll receive fast rma turn around should the worst happen.

Yes, it should be. The 7950's are not voltage locked (last I heard).

The 7970's are around 5 - 10% faster, but cost considerably more. They are also voltage locked (well, the newer ones are anyway).

Here's and old comparison, but seeing as it's red v red, then it shouldn't matter too much.

i would go with the gigabyte as have a extra year rma, and are in the uk as well, so faster turn around if needed

As above, I would go with the Gigabyte due to the UK rma. The HIS, though, is apparently quieter at load. At idle, I can't hear my card at all, and at load it's well within my tolerance for noise (of course, noise is subjective).
