Hey guys,
So i'm due an upgrade from my 5850, and i think it's starting to die anyway. So i've been reading around here, and everybody seems hell bent on overclocking. I've never been a huge fan (pun intended) of overclocking GPU's, as the increase was always negligible before. What has changed?
As for AMD vs Nvidia. From looking at benchmarks, the 7950 seems to compete pretty well with the 670 at a lower price. So obviously i'm looking into AMD unless i can be persuaded otherwise. I would prefer Nvidia though, for better linux drivers/gaming. But can't really justify spending £50+ for a similar product.
As for the budget, around £300, but i'd gladly settle for a 7950 at £240. So my question really, 7950 vs 670 vs 7970?
Cheers!
