Hi all,

Building a system for light gaming to come in on a budget of £450-£500.

I have been keeping an eye on MM but not much i3/i5 kit comes up and I don't think the budget allows for this either.

So I've decided to get something top-end but previous generation.

Everything will be run at stock as I don't have the time to play around with OC'ing the build.

I am looking at getting a top-end C2Q CPU and wondering what card would be ideal to pair with this. There is no point getting a card which will be limited by the CPU.

I think I could allow for £100-£150 from the budget.

Thanks for your advice.

Get the fastest card you can afford, I doubt your going to get much in the way of CPU bottleneck by the time you overclock your C2Q. With £150 your going to be looking at 6870's, 560 (non ti), GTX470 type cards or 2nd hand 5870's and GTX 480's.
