I've just realised that my GPU is sadly lacking already with current games. I installed 'Oblivion' today & have to run it on low settings to get anywhere near decent gameplay. My card is an FX5900XT in an Asus P4C800e with 2x512 PC3500 & a 2.8 P4c (running at 3.01). I can't be bothered going the whole motherboard/ram/cpu/pci/format route so what's the best AGP card I can get & utilise fully (most importantly) for @£150?
I'd prefer NVidia (I know where I am with the drivers etc.) & only need single DVI & TV Out as extras.
Cheers:)

upgrade

6800 GS is a good move indeed, but theAGP ATI's are also worth a look! check the benchies at timshardware.... you may change your mind.

So the 6800GS would be a big jump & not just a step up then?
And if I were to go ATI, what's the equivalent?:)

Dont get a X800/850, they are dx9b and p.s 2, I assume you want to game with new effects, the 6800Gs gets good reviews.
