Which card with pci-e x4?

Hi all,
My motherboard i have just purchased is the 775dual-vsta that only has a 4x pci-e slot and agp slot. Having wanted to get the 1950pro i know this is a x16 card so waht would you all advise i buy now my price range is around the 170-180 mark. Thanks

Having read a few posts would it be better for me to get this card

Just buy the PCIE card it will work fine

I'd be suprised if there is much performance hit running in a PCI-E 4x slot.
