ive got a radeon 1800xt 512mb card would it be worth me going to a 7900gtx 512mb card wen ther available will ther be much increase ?

I'm pretty sure there will be some difference in performance, await the benchmarks, they should be coming soon.

I have to agree. I only got my X1800XT 512MB because it was cheap (thanks OcUK) and will last me till November's R600 and Vista. That's all I needed and my X800XT was starting to struggle.

Anyway, wait for DX10 - this card will deal with any game you put in front of it - don't waste your time chasing benchmarks - I've learned not to anymore, start now because if you get hooked, it's a slippery slope! :D :p.
 
Don't bother changing, The X1800XT is more than capable and seems to get nice performance increases with newer drivers as well.

They also overclock like beasts.
