Not wanting to start a flamming war, i am going to get either of these tomorrow x1900xt or 7900gtx, just want some idea of which is going to give best performance at 1600x1200 gaming for example bf2 / oblivion.

Ive looked on the net but one site for example gives the x1900xt ahead on one game then another site gives the 7900gtx ahead on same game, so could do with some proper results.

I think the X1900XT is marginally the faster card in most things although it is not particularly clear-cut and you pretty much can't lose out by choosing either. The 7900GTX is marginally cooler, less power-hungry and quieter in most versions however it might be slightly less powerful and can't do AA+HDR together.

Ok thanks for that, currently on a P4, 3.4 gig touch wood will be getting a A64 3700 sd aswell, but if not will the P4 be enough for the card ?

You say limited, if am stuck on the P4 would i be better of getting a x1800xt 512 meg card for 1600x1200 then, or would the x1900xt do a better job with aa & af etc.

Ok would this do the job Antec TruePower 2.0 550W PSU its in this week only deals
