You can't really compare architectures like this BUT that comparison misses a few things, 1: 7600 GS has 12 pipes and 5 vertex shaders to the 6800 XT having 8 pipes and 4 vertex and 2: the 7600 GS usually has at least 700 Mhz DDR2 (more commonly 800).
I don't know why your comparison has come up with 533 Mhz DDR2, that isn't a standard spec.
Generally speaking the 7600 GS is (and should be if the 6800 XT and 7600 GS are standard) the faster card (by quite a margin), no question.
