Which card?

So im on the lookout for a new card to go into a second machine im putting together for my dad. He has £100 left in the budget for a GPU.

Now im looking at either :

XFX GTS 250 512MB

or XFX HD4850 XXX 512MB

Personally id go for the GTS 250 but thats because id prefer nvidia cards really. Last ATI card i had was an X1900XTX a long time ago.

His res is the same as mine 1920x1200

Which would you go for?

I'll be trying whichever one i end up getting and comparing it to an 8800GTX and a GTX 280
