i will be running a mobo with crossfire when it comes =] and 850 Watt and a i7 when ti comes

Well, if you're getting a crossfire mobo in the near future, I don't see much reason to invest in an SLI setup now. Go with a 5xxx series AMD card & then crossfire it when you buy the new rig.

I would go for a 5000 series ATI... they support DX11...

since you are willing to buy a 295 I assume money is no prob...

thus I would probably go for a 5870 and crossfire later maybe?
