Which in your opinion should I get?

I'm looking at playing Battlefield 4 Titanfall cod etc

On probably a 24" monitor

Sapphire R9 290X 4096MB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3072MB GDDR5 Graphics Card

or is it even worth looking at
Gainward GeForce GTX Titan 6144MB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Many thanks for any help

You won't need (or be able to utilize) the video memory that a titan has for one 24" screen. Any of the 290 / 290x or 780 cards will be more than enough. As long as your card is paired with a decent cpu & a good power supply, you'll be fine.

I'd look at some of the well priced 290 or 780 cards, such as :

Thanks.

So if i was looking at maybe a 27" monitor I would need a Titan GFX card? Would that be enough to run those games smoothly?

No. For a 27" screen (1440p), I would still go for either a 780 / 290 / 290x, and if possible add another for cf / sli if I needed the extra fps.

Another option you have is to consider a 7950 / 7970 / 280x / GTX770. Again, these cards should serve you well at 1080p, and you could always add another further down the line should your mobo allow.

The AMD developers conference will be starting on the 11th. Hopefully we will see a demonstration of Mantle as BF4 has support for it.

However, those suggestions by arc@css seem solid.

two 290 pros get my vote. That will give you a hell of a lot of power for a great price. I own a 290x and found it to be much quieter than what reviewers made out to be. Probably because my GPU inside a case rather than on a table out in the open. Though one will do you well enough for most resolutions. If you play fps' then i would look at Crossfire for 1440p.

You could wait for custom coolers or slap on some of the aftermarket coolers that are available. This probably would be the best option if you plan to push the clock.
