Hi,

I am going to build a new comp and I am unsure which graphics cards to install.
My question is this. Should i install 2 x BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI or BFG GeForce 9800 GX2 1024MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI?

Which setup provides me with the best graphics? Should i buy the 1024Mb and wait for the price to come down and then sli two of them?

Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Thanks

The pair of 8800GTX cards would be the faster setup. The 9800GX2 is a pair of 8800GTS 512MB cards stuck together and clocked down. The 8800GTX beats a stock GTS when playing with high res (1920x1200) or with FSAA.

Hope that helps :)

What res will you be gaming at? The 9800GX2 is 2x 8800GTS 512 stuck together so its only got 512mb of memory.

Not sure what res, the best i can i suppose. I will be looking at buying a new 24" monitor as well, do you have any ideas of a decent model. Not going to get this system until end of May so I have plenty of time to think about it. Will the prices have fallen by then and will there be a new gen of card out I wonder.
