I'm after a new case to replace my aging and extremely nasty old thing that's currently in use.

My current case has fans all over it, and it's quite noisy.

Idealy I want something with less fans (i.e a couple of 120mm fans instead of loads of 80mm fans).

Also, I would love something that has provision for a bit of sound proofing and also intergrated drive damping of some description as one of my drives is pulsing, and I've just got a Spinpoint F1 to install, which isn't the quietest drive in the world.

So far I've found:

Cooler Master CM690 - I like the look and features of this one, is it any good?

Thermaltake Soprano - Not so sure on this one, a bit form over function maybe? Probably rubbish for soundproofing with the side window though.

Aero Cool S9 Pro - No chance of soundproofing, but has a mahoosive 400mm side panel fan and rubber HDD mounting grommets. Probably sounds like a helicopter though....

Are there any others that are better suited to silent operation in budget, or that are just well, better?

Before I forget (not that this will likely be an issue) - the case needs to take an 8800GT with Acellero S1 fitted.

Cheers :)

I've just scrapped a PC7 in favour of ther Antec 300, I admit that the PC7 was a good case, but after two years of abuse it wasn't all that durable. Mine was warped beyond belief so took it to the local tip today.

Ok, cheers for that. :)

Can anybody recommend some decent anti-vibration HDD mounts before I design my own and cast them from silicone? Infact I might do that anyway...
