I received by v2100 and 4 more HDDs yesterday. It'll be about a week before I get a chance to move all my system over to it but I did get a chance to install my 4 new HDDs into the v2100. I'm now quite worried about noise. All the HDDs are mechanically coupled to the exterior of the case - there's nothing to stop the vibration generated by the drives travelling to the exterior of the case.
Anybody have any good ideas about how I could limit the transmission of noise from the HDDs to the case? The HDDs are installed in quite a bizzar way: you put screws onto the bare drive so the screws are just sticking out the sides of the drive. These screws then slip into some rails in the case and you then you clamp the drive in place. There's no obvious place to put rubber grommets.
Please elaborate... a Google search for "stacker and bungee mod" didn't turn up anything useful, as far as I could tell.
Thanks,
Jack
