Which case should i get!!

what do you guys think of the nzxt phantom looks real alien like and looks like its huge

The reviews from sites are positive about it, if you like the looks then go for it, after all its you that has to look at it everyday.

Que ~ everyone mentioning how ugly it looks:D

I actually wonder how many people voting +1 to the CM690MKII have got one?

Not saying its bad, just curious, sheep following sheep and all that.

So what if they don't have one? They might know someone who does, have owned one in the past, have looked up reviews on it for a future build of theirs etc etc.

If a poll asked for someone's favourite sportscar, would they have had to driven/owned their chosen answer before voting? No (although of course it would help)

What's more useful to the OP?
1) X amount of replies to his thread all posting a different case to the previous poster, or
2) All replies to his thread all recommending one particular case?

Nothing to be curious about people having the same taste in a case.

Whats more useful is people who have actually used the case, and have a better opinion than just +1 everything or reading the latest CustomPC mag review.

Posting up other options is a better idea, as long as the case suggested is actually any good, the OP can then select one HE LIKES!!!

OP mentioned three cases they liked (one being the CM690II) and was asking which out of the three people recommended and people have done that. The CM690II is a very popular case on here.

Can you honestly say you've used all the cases recommended in that post? As going by your words, if you haven't used it then you can't recommend it.

Not looking for a vendetta against you, just due to owning the CM690II I felt your post was a bit unnecessary (and I know it wasn't aimed at me personally).

Used more hardware than you can positively imagine;) done so many builds for people i know personally and from these forums, when they are within a sensible travel distance.

The OP also said " can you link me to any alternatives."

heres another case to look at - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-068-SV&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=1092

The 690-II really is as good as people say. I found it exceptional to install into, to manage and still now, months later, I am enjoying it.

Coming from a poor case with few features in the same way I did also makes it so much better. :)

Of course if you have the extra money, something like a 650D will be even better. If you do spend more, I would recommend Corsair for looks, the CM HAF X for cooling and the Silverston RV-03 for a combination.

Fractal xl imo is hard to beat at it's cut price £84 because of some bad reviews from websites that isn't the be all and end all.
I think the cooling would be fine if you just remove the middle hard drive cage and run all hdd down the bottom if were my £85 I'd get one.
There's good reviews of it as well and a lot of folk seem very happy with the define xl.

I agree, had my 690-II for over a year now and it's a great case and I would go with the Corsair PSU ;)
