I'm about to buy parts for a PC (My first build) but I'm a bit stuck on which case to buy. I don't want to choose any old case and find out the motherboard wont fit. I want to spend about £45 -

Here's what I'm getting ---

CP-127-AM AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4400CDBOX) (CP-127-AM)
£133.99 £133.99
MB-103-AB Abit Fatal1ty AN9 32X (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-103-AB)
£124.99 £124.99
MY-096-CS Corsair 2GB DDR2 Value Select PC4200 Dual Channel Kit (2x1GB) (VS2GBKIT533D2) (MY-096-CS)
£124.99 £124.99
GX-044-CO Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-CO)
£119.99 £119.99
CD-037-NE NEC ND3550 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Silver) - OEM (CD-037-NE)
£18.50 £18.50
HD-020-SA Samsung SpinPoint P SP2514N 250GB ATA-133 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-020-SA)

Any suggestions most appreciated!

It should fit any ATX case, but for that system you will want a good quality one with decent cooling and a decent PSU, and I think £45 is too low a budget for that.

Id go for a Lanboy. Its great value for money! But if you could strech £10 quid more go for a Lian Li PC-7+ which is the better option. Oh and btw you've specced a 939 CPU and a AM2 with DDR2 RAM which isn't compatible.

EDIT: a bit OT but a Core 2 Duo system would be better value for money.

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-126-IN)

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-061-GI)

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-5400PHU2-2GBLA) (MY-012-GS)

and perhaps get a SATA hard disk like the new Seagates 7200.10.

Everything else looks fine to me. :)

Excellent! Cheers for that ... I noticed they're not supplied with a PSU, which is best?

Which is the best psu? Anything from the big names are good. Enermax, seasonic, tagan etc. The Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-025-EN) would be a good choice.
