Looking for an affordable case (£30-£40) which looks stylish and is pretty silent. Could people point me in the right direction? It's an upgrade from an old £15 jobby...
ps the kind of thing i'm looking for has to be black and not too interested in complex designs (ie X-Blade etc). Also usb ports in the front would help. Something along the lines of the akasa Zen...
Easily second best sub £35 case after the Lanboy, and easily the best case designed to be that price I have ever seen.
Cracking case for the money, nothing special but nothing to particularly hate about it either. Which for the money a case that can run anything well is a godsend.
Wouldn't mine seen this and the Zen reviewed side by side, Zen has the aesthetic edge and the extra fan, but the Antec with better airflow and removable HDD rack with noise reducing gromets etc. wins it for me
The Zen's fans are better aswell, cheaper motor ambers basically.
Its swings and roundabouts really, the Zen though offers the better value for money, although if it is the better case or not is up to you and your uses.
Certainly not much in it between them, but the whole package with the Zen and its no frills easy interior just win it for me.
Afterall, if your buying a £30 case the difference the grommets on the hard drive will make to the probable stock coolers you are using will be minimal, and a removeable cage can sometimes be more of a negative than a positive, especially if your running a packed system.
