I'm after a case for a new PC...use will be primarily gaming, not being dragged around to LAN parties though.

Its going to be a e6850 / 8800 GTX PC which will run at stock initially but may well see a bit of overclocking. I'm not too fussed about size or appearance. Doesn't need to be massive as I'm not planning anything exotic Hard disk wise.

I like the look of Lian-Li PC V1000 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower but would happily spend a bit more or less depending on the strength of recommendation.

I think I've read somewhere that these don't have a reset button...does that matter?

I'm not a silence fanatic but ideally cool and quiet-ish would be nice.

I'd appreciate any views.

BTW will be air cooling!

Cheers

The Lian Li V1000+ meets your requirements in spades. You can make it cool - my oced CPU is at 40 C idle, and very quiet (assuming some sort of fan control). I have no experience of the Akasa, but I understand that the performance is as good, if not slightly better than the V1000+. It's just so butt ugly IMHO.

There is no reset button on the V1000+, so it does mean holding down the power button for 5 seconds - no great shakes.

if size or appearance doesnt matter, then im assuming you just want a case that can cool well.. if thats the case, (excuse the pun :p) then get the antec900..

(i have a v1000, it's gorgeous, has pretty good airflow, but is by no means the best on the market..)
