which case?

hey guys

Which case would be best for the Intel Core i7 940 2.93Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retai and Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

As im not to sure myself...

On personal preference, I'd say an Antec Twelve Hundred, having just bought one. Wasn't initially keen on the bling lights when they first came out, but I warmed eventually and it's the best case I've had so far (although I never modded my last one).

Not as versatile as my old Akasa Eclipse build-wise, but much better on stock cooling and has plenty of space internally for all but the most insane water cooling setups.

All down to personal preference really though. Others will likely recommend other cases, so YMMV.

i've went for a Antec300 more than enough room for my rig see my i7 build in general. Also why you getting the 940?

its a good stock speed at a descent price.. why which would u recommend?

920 much cheaper and in all honesty you aren't going to notice the 200mhz difference, + if your overclocking it's even more reason to get the 920

I have looked at lots of cases and i setteld on the Antec 1200 its a fantastic case and cooling is great. its lots quieter than my last themaltake case too.

P.S. if you do order this case from overclockers and also order other smaller items at the same time they may come on seperate delivery vans, however this is not mentioned on the order confirmation. not that i got worried when the case arrived and the other items weren't there at the same time

I would recommend the Cosmos S, imo much better than the antec. If you really want to splash out though get a silverstone TJ07, lovely case. Other very good alternatives are the coolermaster stacker 830/831/832 and the Lian Li armorsuit p60.

i was going to buy a cosmos,it looks the buisness but i dont think it has as many fans as the antec 1200 so it aint as cool...i maybe wrong but this is why i went for the antec 1200

What kind of budget do you have in mind?

I have a CM Stacker 810. Its the best case I have ever owned. Its massive and there is soo much room and great for keeping my system cool. Its that big you could easily fit a watercooled system in there. lol

No one seemed to ask any preference on size, but it seems he will be wanting either a mid tower to full tower. Any bigger then we're talking mountain mod cases. Also I would recommend an antec case range
