Looking at getting a case that is great at cooling but fairly quiet, with good cable management. Also want it to be long enough to fit a 5850 card in. Ive been looking at these but open to suggestions.

I'd either get the Fractal Design or the PC-60. they're both good looking and seem to be good build quality (from what I've read).
I had a fiddle with a skeleton at i36 and I wasn't that keen to be honest, it just seems flimsy and it'd be a nightmare to maintain

Fortres fto1 - will suite all your needs(Compatible with expansion cards up to 12”), if cards get any bigger you just remove the top half of the HD bays.

I didnt really want to spend to far past £100 :/

i can highly recommend the Skeleton, can't be beaten for cooling and great fun to mod.
I saw your thread, it was what got me interested in it in the first place. Two things im hopeing you can awnser, are you able to fit a 5870 in the case & how good is cable management without a Modular PSU?

I think at the moment these are the main cases im interested in:

5870 will not be a problem, to be honest I can't see any GPU being a problem.

Re cable management, I like to make a feature of my cables with this case, but any I don't want to show are just hidden away in the lower section well out of sight.

One thing i've also found is you don't actually need to fit big CPU coolers. as using stock only seems to make a few degrees difference.

You'll find that this is something of a marmite case, but you'll also find a lot of the comments made about it are suppositions from people who don't actually have experience of it. The single biggest myth out there is that dust is a problem. It's about the least dusty case i've ever owned as the dust can't settle in dead spots.

I personally like the CM960 (well, the Nvidia version) but bith the Lian-Li and the Lancool are both great cases

And what is the noise level like?

Noise levels on skeleton are good, the big top fan has 3 speed settings.

I really only use the lowest and the highest.

the lowest for the stuff i'm doing right now, and its only just audable, and the highest for when i'm gaming, which is noticable if you're sitting in a quiet room, but not even close to being noticable when you've got your sound up and the bullets are flying!!!!
