Which cat litter do you use?

Nothing on Earth has yet been found to hide the smell of a kitten dump, it is evacuate time.

I just get the cheapo stones stuff from the local shop. Whatever you get it will go everywhere.

Now they all go outside to take a dump etc..

It is amusing to watch Poppy take a dump in the builders bags of sand while they rennovate the house opposite. She has also been known to use peoples plant boxes outside their front doors. She has no shame that one.

My life is better now I no longer have to step on all the little stones that the house used to be covered in!

We have two 4.5 month old kittens, we just use that cheap Thomas stuff usually as we have to change it every day with two of them using it.

Sainsbury's own brand antibacterial cat litter was very good though, and I can recommend Pets at Home's own brand antibacterial too. Both non-clumping - can't stand the clumping stuff.

They are going out more and more, but we rent and have a glass porch door and a glass conservatory door as our outside doors so can't have a cat flap, so we need a litter tray too for when we're out at work (don't want to shut them out all day when they're so young).

Edit: PS Pinter I have a Poppy too :) - and her **** smells WAY worse than her brother's :D

Use this one as well.

chick crumbs. The food given to chicks. Its identical to Worlds Best but costs loads less. We spend about £9 a month on cat litter. We have 3 kittens who don't go out.

Catsan is looking quite popular.

We can't let her outsdide yet until she has her final jab next week. Unfortunately we don have a cat flap at the moment so the litter tray lives in the front hall for the time being.

Here she is the day we got her.

Also, found Here!

It's on deal from website 2 for £16. Which is essentially 60L of cat litter.

I got my kittehs begging of May this year when they were 8/9 weeks old (see sig).

I went to the above store locally and it was buy one get one free at the time, so 60L for £10 which was a bargain. I've still got 1/2 my second bag left and change the litter every few days when its getting a bit unfresh.

It masks smell very well (whizz especially). Nothing can stop the stench of a cat turd but I empty turds morning and night and it's all good. I got this stuff as its what my parents have always used on their kittehs. I recommend it as it is wood/pellet based rather than gravel. The gravel I have found to be far messier and stinky.

Nice find, i've just gone over to the wood pellet stuff for our outdoor cats. Cracking stuff, it dries out the poo so it stops smelling.

chick crumbs. The food given to chicks. Its identical to Worlds Best but costs loads less. We spend about £9 a month on cat litter. We have 3 kittens who don't go out.

This is what we use indoors in our electric litter tray (we mix it 70/30 with worlds best).

Used to use the Tesco Value stuff but after a bizzare pricing episode where the Tesco clumping cat litter was cheaper have used it ever since. So much better.
