Looking to spend no more than £30, as i am on a strict budget, i ordered a load of bits, left out the PSU as i had a spare one at home for an AMD ATX system but it dont fit.

I need the 24pin connector to fit an AMD AM2 board

simple answer: 30 quid isnt enough to buy a decent brand new one, the only place you may get a decent one for that little will the the well known trading website
brand new your looking atleast 50-60 quid for a decent quality PSU

one you may want to look at is the enermax liberty 400w, its 50 quid

Like i said, im on a strict budget, and 30 is all i have to play with, its going to have to go on a medium quality psu

seriously if you buy one brand new for less than 30 quid it will be either rediculously under-powered, or a cheap generic piece of **** that will blow up after a month and probably take half of your rig with it

Is it reccomended to use the convertors? Or is there a risk, i got a power supply here that i got with a case, 350W AOpen PSU.

350w should be enough to power it ?

Not at all, Forton Sparkle do some very good cheap PSU's.

Whats the minimum power output i would need for a

AMD AM2 3500+,
MSI K9N Neo mobo
1GB DDR2 5200
200GB Sata
ATI X700
?

Xclio 500W PSU, very good and close to your budget. 350W FSP Sparkle Blue Storm, even closer to your budget.

Although ATX 2.0 is practically the same as 2.2.

So you think 350w psu will be enough to power the above?
