Which cheap upgrade

Hi all.

Current system is:

A64 3000+ @ 2250mhz
2gb ram
Asrock 939S56-M
X800gto2 unlocked

Ram is a mix of 2x512mb geil golden dragon PC3500 and 2x512mb generic PC2700.

Looking for a cheap upgrade and was thinking either an opteron or X2 or a nice set of 2x1gb ram.

What do you think?

IMO RAM, running at different speeds seems nasty to me.

Then followed by a dual core CPU.

About £100 not including what I get from selling the old stuff. Dont mind buying second hand

A X2 Socket 939 chip before they disappear again... forever!

Then RAM next (sell of current ones & get proper PC3200 stuff)

What slot is your gfx card? If its PCI-E the a 7600GT will give a decent boost
