I have some G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2 x 8GB and I'm trying to figure out which chips are on it. All Thaiphoon can tell me is that its Samsung.
Just trying to figure out if I can overclock this to 3600MHz but being new to RAM overclocking, I'm just trying to figure out what I'm dealing with here.
Tried last night. Set my FCLK to 1800 with timings of 16-19-20-20 @1.35v as suggested by the Ryzen calculator. PC booted into Windows after several reboots but memory was just showing as running at 2133MHz. I went back into the BIOS and my settings were still there.

If the pc reboots a few times it means the memory setting is not working. After saving and exiting bios setup, the pc should only beep once and boot into windows if everything is good.
You will have to try looser timings and/or more DDR voltage to get 3600MHz out of a 3200MHz kit.
