1. -Core i5 2500K
-Asus P8P67 Pro Motherboard
-My current 4650

2. -AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition
-My MSI 870-C45
-MSI 1280MB GeForce GTX 570 Twin Frozr III Power Edition OC

If you recommend option 2, Please recommend a power supply aswell. Take into account I will not be going into SLI.

As your not buying immediately might as well wait to see what Bulldozer brings.

If your wanting more gaming performance then how about a 6950 2GB or GTX560Ti. Overclock your current CPU and try unlocking it.

If you like BD then you could get an AM3+ board and get a new BD CPU a bit later.

Ive tried unlocking my CPU and Overclocking, The PC freezes after a few minutes. :(
Stock cooling and a 450W sumvision PSU.

You certainly need a new PSU before anything else.

Never ever skimp on the PSU quality, a sumvision 450w is a cheap nasty item@£10'ish.

Im surprised it hasnt actually exploded yet but maybe the fact you dont have a powerful GPU has saved you so far. The Antec above will cope with any system and any single reasonable graphics card and even a pair of graphics cards in SLI/Crossfire at around 6950/GTX560ti performance.

+1, PSU is very important

If your not buying until christmas, like me :) wait and see what bulldozer can do. I've been asking for so many specs, but really need to see what bulldozer can do.

Btw, yesterday, after I put my new GPU in, when I put the power lead back in the PSU,Sparks and a bit of smoke came out? I just thought whatever and plugged it in (The power lead was plugged into the wall when I put it into the PSU) is this normal?
