Which choice

I've been car hunting a lot recently and stuck between a choice of two cars,

Rover 220 Coupe Turbo
Volvo 850 T5 Manual Saloon

Obviously each cars have it's ups and downs, just trying to find a good one can be a challenge.

Anyone know of any particular things I should be looking for when considering purchasing either of the cars, i know the typical checks etc but was wondering if there's anything more known to those cars.

I've had a lot of experience with the 220s before and very well aware of their prone to HG issues. I got no intention of upping the boost unless i get the head upped first as a min.

The volvo would be a very nice option, though from what the guys over vpcuk say, they claim to be very thirsty cars and expect about 20mpg.
 
Yeah did notice that too when i got driven in my mates one, before he sold it.

Forgot to add, if i did go for a 850 it would have to be a saloon edition.
 
That's another consideration of mine running costs I don't know what they're like, but been a 4wd you'd expect to pay more. The one I got my eyes on is a manual as i dont like autos.
 
yep forgot to add that to the list, seems to be a lot of 216s on there atm, and some nut thinking he can get 3k for an fdh model,
