Which Cisco switch

Work is ditching some superfluous kit, and I have the chance to grab a switch for future home networking plans.

I've a 2960 and 3500 in hand. Think i'll probably take the 2960, but thought I'd ask for any other opinions.
 
3500s are absolutely ancient, (especially if it's a 3500XL) 2960 is much more modern,

3550s are handy as they support all the layer-3 features, but there's a big difference between a 3500 and a 3550,
 
Yeah, there's 2 3500XL's (age is probably the reason they are going).

I don't envisage needing any layer-3 features. I have no intentions of doing v-lans etc etc. I just need a switch and this is free!

3550's are lacking in many L3 features still.


Take the 2960. I've got a few 3500's you can have FOC if you want to collect!
