Hey guys,
I came out with a great simile the other day; Upgrading PCs is like trimming your sideburns, because every time you think you have one side looking perfect, you end up having to trim the other.
I don't know about you lot, but this simile describes my upgrading habits perfectly. Every time I upgrade one component, something else always stands out as being sub-par, at which point I upgrade that and then something else seems sub-par, ad nauseum.
So, come on guys, this is the thread where you can share what component is bugging you this week.
For me it's my CPU, for some reason I am still on Socket 754 and using an underpowered Athlon64 3400+, and even after OCing it is still bottlenecking my X1800XT by a fair margin.
I look forward to seeing your replies, no doubt some will be funny as I know you lot have a mad sense of humour.
Sincerely yours,
Úlfhednar.
