Hey guys, recently built my new system and i have a problem with machine_check_exception errors (BSOD error) thats been plaging my new system.

The error from the memory dump is giving me a 9c error which ive been told is a hardware error, though im stumped wht bit.

Before its always been faulty ram with me,but i mem test the ram 3 times and its came up clean every single time.

The psu is more then adequate to run my current system.

So its either got to be the CPU, Mobo or Gfx.

My CPU (Opteron 165 @ stock) seems to be running at the temp its supposed to be (around 35degrees)

My Graphics(X1900XTX @ Stock) seems to be running fine with an ambient temp of 50degrees at 499mhz(2d clock)

My mother board is a Biostar Tforce 6100m9 socket 939. seems to be running fine, but not sure how to test it.

The crashes seem to happen midway through a dvd or film (at random times) and in any game i play, once again at any time. I had it running for 4 days on just windows and there wasnt a single crash so its making me think its an error with the graphics card.

Anyone know how i can test it, and or test all the other components to see if they are faulty.

If it is faulty how do i prove to OCUK that it is faulty when i RMA it, as i obviously dont wanna take a hunch, say its the graphics card and find out it isnt.

I need big time help with this as its driving me nuts (no pirate jokes please:p) and getting in the way of my uni work (computer games design)

Oh heres some of the info from my Dxdiag info if this will help...

Well woke up this morning to goto university and had found that my pc had rebooted.

When i logged back in it gave me another new memory dump log and the 'your computer has recovered from a serious error' message.

I booted prime95 back up and it started off at the Lucas-Lehmer Iterations using 1792K FFT Length. Does anyone know how i can find out what caused my computer this to happen.

Does this signal that its my cpu that is indeed duff.

Heading off to uni now so it will be running again whilst im out, and shall let you know if it happens again.

I dunno exactly where it crashed as it crashed whilst i was asleep. If Prime95 leaves a log then let me know where and ill check and see what it says.

Though its been runnning for a good 4 hours now and there seems to be no probs reported.

Though on one core says theres a 6.2% chance of finding a factor and 5.4% on the other.. is this good or bad?
