Hello all,

We have been given a Panasonic TH-37PE50B and it is not set up for PC input as all it has is: three Scarts, analogue HD-capable component video jacks, and a CAM slot

My wife's PC (to which we want to connect the tv) has a GeForce 8500GT card which has a VGA and DVI port on it.

What I would like to know is which is the best cable configuration to use (i.e. vga to scart, dvi to component etc.) to connect the tv to the pc so she can do her uni work in the week AND watch films via the pc on the weekends.

The link above is to the tv operation manual and has pictures of the inputs in the front pages and near the back is a breakdown of the technical specs and a list of the Applicable input signal for Component(Y, PB, PR) details all of which mean nothing to me.
Many thanks for any help you can offer.

The component connection will allow for HD resolutions.
Just grab either a vga or dvi ---> component lead from ebay, doesn't matter which really as they will both be using the same analogue signal.

for any of your vga or dvi connections make sure the card can output (Y, Pr, Pb) signal otherwise you'll need an active converter.

Thank you both - I bought a dvi-ypbpr but didn't have joy so will now check the nvidia sites to see if there is a support issue with the card.
